SCALEXTRIC HIRE

Our circuit is demountable and can be assembled at your event location. If you would like to make a preliminary enquiry about having the track set up at your premises, manned and available for use by your visitors, please send us a hire enquiry using the contact form. Prices start from £245+VAT for a three hour hire, in the West Country area (farther afield is possible but additional travel, and accommodation if needed, will be charged extra). Race options are flexible, from a full blown championship down to just ad-hoc turn-up-and-drive races. Space required, 5m x 3m with a wall and power points on at least one side. We need about 60-90 minutes either side of the hire period to set it up and take it down again.

You can charge people to race on the track if you wish, in order to recoup the hire costs and maybe also raise some money for charity - but you will need to provide your own representative to manage this process. We can give you some guidance on what to charge. If you wish you can also offer a prize for a competition, such as fastest time for a set number of laps or for winning a mini-championship. Let us know how many and which prizes you are giving out and we'll keep a record of the best performances for you.

"DIGITAL TAKE-AWAY"

An alternative to a hire, might be the "take-away" option. This way, you get to keep the circuit after you have used it, and man the track yourself. A cheaper option for multi-day corporate events or any situations where you will want to use the track again and again. Also an idea for a child's birthday party you are organising, where he or she gets to keep the track after the event as their birthday present.

All you need to provide is the venue, electrical supply, and tables for the track to sit on. Price depends on track size and specification. You can also specify the type of car you would like; low-detail saloon, Sports GT or single-seater. Simply let us know the size of table you want to use and we will design a circuit to fit in that space, price it up, obtain all the track, cars and equipment, come along and install it before your first use and show someone how to operate it, and then leave you to run it as you see fit, whether for racing, time trials, competitions - whatever. We will show you how the track fits together, and give you some guidance on driving and car care too. We also provide you with some storage boxes to keep the track in after the event, as well as a copy of the track plan so you know which bit goes where next time you put it together. You can have a basic circuit without any timing or counting, just lapcounting, basic lapcounting and timing, or fully computerised timing and results like we use on our own circuit. Grandstands, figures, and pit buildings are also available as optional extras.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Due to recent poor tourist visitor numbers, lack of regular local trade and ever-increasing rates and energy costs, it has been decided to close the public hire facility in the Cheese Company courtyard from the end of 2007. The private hire and internet shop will continue, and you can still hire the circuit for a birthday party, but now you have to provide the venue (as per the details above) - you can no longer come to us.
