Welcome to Slotcarcentre.co.uk, the premier place on the net to find out about Scalextric Digital and buy all your Scalextric Digital, analogue, and micro Scalextric cars, track, sets and accessories. We supply all kinds of slot car equipment from small starter sets for kids right up to large orders for schools, clubs and corporate events. Phone number change We're getting with the times and saving some money on expensive BT phone line rental, by replacing the store's land line with a new Bristol VOIP number which is shown at the top of the page. The old 01934 743250 number will stop working at the end of February. Please update your address books accordingly. This also enables us to do the "call me back" thing in the margin below.

If you are new to the world of Scalextric, or reacquainting yourself, welcome on board! We have been an authorised Scalextric stockist, based in Somerset, UK, since the beginnings of digital slot car racing in 2004-5. Some other Scalextric web stores are little more than an auction site or a big retailer's affiliate scheme "front end", but slotcarcentre.co.uk is a proper enthusiasts' store, with its own digital club/display/test track and with items physically in stock and sent out from our premises. So we don't just sell these products but we actually use them ourselves too. Traditional toy-shop personal service and advice, but over the internet. You can phone during the hours above and leave a message at other times, someone will always get back to you. Skype contact details are provided in the site header. If you are unlucky enough to call while we are tied up with stock arrivals or despatches and there is no answer, try again in about 30 minutes. We are also very active on social networks, so you can find and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news and special offers - see the panel below. Customers repeatedly tell us that some other slot car stores don't answer their phones or return calls, that their sites are very hard to navigate or search, and that they charge excessive amounts for delivery. None of those should be true here! And also remember that most big chain retailers won't know much detail about the Scalextric digital system, and can't advise about chipping of cars or connecting your track up to a computer for example - we can. As well as Scalextric we also supply SSD-compatible cars and products from other manufacturers such as Carrera and Slot-It - including the Slot-It SSD conversion chip. We also sell branded mugs and bags. And you can also find us and other users of this web site racing on the on-line multiplayer motorsport simulators we support, iRacing.com and Live for Speed. We also operate a parts service for Scalextric brand cars and can usually obtain parts for most cars produced within the last few years. Customers also send us cars for digital chipping and repair, most are turned around within a week. Our prices include VAT, postage and packing to UK addresses, the price you see is the price you pay and should be competitive in relation to other sites (overseas customers please see the shipping page in the margin for more information regarding additional costs). Discounts are available to NSCC members and you don't need to log in or open an account to be able to shop. Chipping the unchippable Our chipping service has recently been popular with people sending cars for chipping they didn't think were possible to do - small cars, fiddly cars, cars with extra wiring, other brands, etc. Also very popular for retro-fit-chipping have been "Start" range cars such as the Disney/Pixar "Cars" vehicles. See our chipping page for details of the sorts of cars we have been working on, and perhaps think about sending your "unchippables" - as well as your more straightforward cars - to us!

Troubleshooting guide If you are experiencing a problem with your Scalextric circuit, click here or hit the PANIC button to view our PDF troubleshooting guide. Rather than call or email with a vague problem such as "my car won't go" or "my controller's not working", work through the guide before calling for help as most issues are covered in there. It contains lots of useful ideas to help you track down, step by step, the possible cause of a problem, based on our many years' experience of the system. Then if you are still struggling ask a question via the contact form.

Car trouble? Don't forget we also offer a repair service for Scalextric cars that are not behaving themselves, and either won't run or have missing parts (subject to replacement parts being available of course). If you don't have the time or inclination to fix them yourself, don't call the RAC, drop us an email via the contact form to find out what can be done to get them back in running order again.

Racing with the NSCC As well as running our own circuit and shop, we are also involved with the NSCC which promotes the hobby both in the UK and around the world. If you are a keen racer or collector, and wish to get more out of your slot cars, we really do recommend joining. Members receive a monthly journal, have access to limited edition club cars, early access to swapmeets, and also get invited to Hornby/NSCC weekend events. This year's club car is a Jaguar XKR and the next weekend event is scheduled for November. Head over to the NSCC web site for more information.
